What Is ABDL?

ABDL, which is an acronym for Adult Baby Diaper Lovers, is an umbrella term that encompasses a broad array of kinks, including (but not limited to), age regression role-play, Caregiver/Little (an variant of a Dom/Sub dynamic), omorashi (a variant of watersports/urine play) and, of course, diaper fetishism. Despite falling under this singular categorisation, these kinks are not mutually exclusive, much like BDSM. Many ABDLs solely engage with diaper fetishism, without the age regression component, in the same way that someone would engage with Leather or Latex fetishism, while others engage with the whole package. Some only engage during scenes, while others may choose to live the lifestyle 24/7. Some ABDLs who wear diapers don’t even use them and are more concerned with the sensory experience of wearing them. There is no one-size-fits-all way to engage with ABDL as a kink.
